2026 NOTES

Shortly after the recording and release of 'Learn Unlearn', I started a full-time job. But I'm still not sure whether that really contributed all that much to the long delay before this album. 'Learn Unlearn' had been recorded in a single evening with no planning, and so that was relatively easy to make happen without introspection. But after that I flailed around, trying to figure out what I could learn from 'A Weakness for Fiction'. There were a lot of discarded scraps and a lot of half-baked lyrics.

What ended up emerging was this, an instrumental EP. What it primarily learned from 'A Weakness for Fiction' probably was how not to mix an album.

I do still like this. I think its accidental busyness works a little better than that on some other albums, without getting enmired.
